Passengers flying out of Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport have been advised to brace for potential disruptions in international flight schedules, as shifting airspace conditions over Iran, Iraq, and neighboring regions continue to impact certain routes. Despite these challenges, overall operations at Delhi Airport remain unaffected and continue to run smoothly.

The advisory comes in the wake of escalating tensions in the Middle East, following a series of Israeli airstrikes on Iranian soil early Friday morning. According to the Israeli officials, the operation was launched based on fresh intelligence indicating that Iran was nearing a significant nuclear milestone, which they allege poses an imminent threat to both regional and global stability.

Air India has also released an official advisory, citing the safety of its passengers; the airline announced that several of its flights are either being rerouted or are returning to their point of origin.

Indian Embassy Issues Safety Advisory

Amid the growing regional instability, the Indian Embassy in Tehran has released a safety advisory for Indian citizens currently in Iran. The embassy has urged all Indian nationals and persons of Indian origin to exercise heightened caution, limit non-essential movement, and adhere strictly to local safety guidelines. Citizens are also advised to monitor the Embassy’s official social media platforms for timely updates and important advisories.
