A deployed Army personnel at the Line of Control (LOC) has shed light on the measures taken to ensure the safety and efficiency of soldiers operating in challenging conditions. He added that special warm clothing and advanced technology weapons are given in order to safeguard the border.
"Considering the weather and the terrain, the soldiers are given special warm clothing. New and advanced technology weapons and surveillance equipment are provided," the soldier said, news agency ANI reported.

He also emphasised the importance of addressing issues quickly, adding, "Seniors are in constant touch with the Army Jawans to address their issues at the earliest."
The inspector general of police (IGP), V K Birdi, stated that multi-tier security arrangements, including drones and spotters, have been placed to ensure the smooth conduct of the Republic Day functions in Kashmir at the Bakshi Stadium.
"Proper and secure arrangements have been made for those who want to participate in the function," the inspector general of police (IGP) told PTI.
The IGP added that along with the multi-tier security arrangements, surveillance is also being maintained to ensure a smooth conduct of the function. "Surveillance in the form of drones or spotters and very deep and intricate security arrangements have been made," he said.
He requested people to participate in the January 26 programmes in numbers. He also added that surveillance is being put on "bad elements", including surrendered militants. "Police have their own SOP (standard operating procedure). There is a way to keep surveillance on bad elements and we are undertaking these actions as per the law," he said.
