Rahul Gandhi Lauds India's Strike On Pakistan, Proud Of Our Armed Forces, Says LoP

Congress said this is a time for unity and solidarity. It stands firmly with the armed forces as India carried out missile strikes in retaliation for the Pahalgam terror attack.

Senior Congress leader and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, has praised the government’s air strikes on terror hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan‑occupied Kashmir, tweeting, “Proud of our Armed Forces. Jai Hind!”

At 1.44 am, the Ministry of Defence issued a statement describing the strikes as “focused, measured and non‑escalatory” in nature and confirmed that no Pakistani military facilities were targeted.

Before Rahul Gandhi's statement on X, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge said national unity and solidarity is the need of the hour, and his party stands with the armed forces.

"India has an unflinching national policy against all forms of terrorism emanating from Pakistan and PoK," the Congress chief said in a post on X.

"We are extremely proud of our Indian Armed Forces who have struck terror camps in Pakistan and PoK. We applaud their resolute resolve and courage," he said.

Since the day of the Pahalgam terror attack, the Congress has categorically stood with the armed forces and the government to take any decisive action against cross-border terror, the Congress chief said.
