Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday continued his attack on Pakistan as he lauded Operation Sindoor, saying how India showed it the strength of the 'sindoor'. He reiterated that India would not sit back and watch, and would retaliate if any terror attack happened in the future, just like it did after Pahalgam terror attack.
"There was a terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam. Many innocent civilians lost their lives in that heinous act of terror. Just a day after the attack, I came to Bihar and made a promise to the nation from the soil of Bihar. I had said, looking the nation in the eye, that the hideouts of the terrorists would be reduced to dust. From this very land, I had vowed that they would face a punishment beyond their imagination. Today, as I return to Bihar, I come having fulfilled that promise," PM Modi said.
"The world, including Pakistan, has witnessed the power of the sindoor worn by the daughters of India," he added.
He further went on to laud the valour and courage of the Border Security Forces during Operation Sindoor, paying respect to BSF Sub Inspector Imtiaz, who laid down his life at the border on May 10.
"BSF Sub Inspector Imtiaz laid down his life at the border on 10 May. I pay my respectful tribute to this son of Bihar... The enemy has seen the power of Operation Sindoor. They should understand that this is just one arrow in our quiver. India's fight against terrorism has neither stopped nor halted. If the hood of terror rises again, India will crush it by pulling it out of its hole." PM said.
PM Modi arrived at the venue in Karakat, about 140 km from the state capital, perched atop an open vehicle painted in saffron and bedecked with flowers. He was flanked by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary when his vehicle entered the gigantic canopy in Karakat.
The prime minister had arrived in Patna on Thursday evening. He received a rousing welcome with people gathered on both sides of the road, showering flower petals and raising slogans in praise of the leader.
PM Modi launched development projects worth more than Rs 48,520 crore in Karakat. He inaugurated the four-laning of the Patna–Gaya–Dobhi section of NH–22, worth around Rs 5,520 crore and four-laning of the elevated highway and grade improvements at Gopalganj Town on NH–27 at a function. He also dedicated to the nation the third rail line between Son Nagar – Mohammad Ganj, worth over Rs 1,330 crore.
