Siddaramaiah is accused of alleged irregularities in the allocation of 14 sites to his wife BM Parvathi.
On January 27, the High Court stayed the ED’s notice summoning Parvathi and Minister Suresh for questioning in the Mysuru Urban Development Authority site allotment case, as per a report on NDTV.
MUDA Land Allotment Controversy
Last year, the MUDA land allocation controversy surfaced following allegations of irregularities in compensatory land allotments between 2016 and 2024. Anti-corruption activists claimed that 14 plots in an upscale Mysuru locality, allegedly allotted to Parvathi, were disproportionately higher in value than the land acquired by MUDA.
The allegations also extended to Siddaramaiah’s son, S Yathindra, and senior MUDA officials. The controversy led to the resignation of MUDA chief K. Mari Gowda, reportedly a close associate of Siddaramaiah. Gowda later claimed he had been instructed to step down.
The alleged irregularities are estimated to have resulted in a financial loss of Rs 45 crore to the state exchequer.
