Addressing media persons after performing yoga alongside Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Naidu said 3.03 lakh people gathered in Visakhapatnam to perform the ancient practice, creating a world record for the most people performing yoga at a single location. He noted, however, that the exact number of participants will be officially confirmed by Guinness World Records authorities.

Naidu further added that around 22,000 tribal students performed 108 Surya Namaskars in 108 minutes at one location, setting another Guinness World Record.

“The 11th International Yoga Day was a grand success. We have created history. This is a super hit,” he said.

He also noted that the state government had initially expected around two crore registrations for yoga participation across Andhra Pradesh, but the response surpassed expectations with 2.45 crore registrations.

Speaking about the larger significance of the event, Naidu said, as per ANI: "I am very proud of today's event, it was a great event for a noble cause. Now, Yoga is a game-changer. We got two Guinness World Records and 21 World Book of Records. We got a total of 23 records. Apart from that, you cannot measure the awareness we have brought. That is the biggest success of this event.

He also highlighted the month-long campaign leading up to the event: “For 30 days, we conducted programs. Every day, in so many places, so many people were involved. That is the culmination of today’s success. All over the world, 12 lakh locations, 10 crore people, and 175 countries took part. In Andhra Pradesh alone, more than 2.3 crore people across 1.43 lakh locations participated—can you imagine? That is the response, that is the spontaneity, and that is people’s movement. So, we are very proud of it. Everybody is realising the benefits of yoga.”
