IndiGo Temporarily Suspends Flights To And From Middle East Cities Amid Iran-Israel War

The suspension affects operations to and from Dubai, Doha, Bahrain, Dammam, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Madinah, Fujairah, Jeddah, Muscat and Sharjah.

IndiGo has temporarily suspended its flight operations to and from several key cities across the Middle East, citing safety concerns. The airline issued a travel advisory early Monday, announcing that flights will remain grounded at least until 10:00 am today.

The suspension affects operations to and from Dubai, Doha, Bahrain, Dammam, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Madinah, Fujairah, Jeddah, Muscat, Sharjah, Riyadh, Ras Al-Khaimah, and Tbilisi. These destinations, which form the bulk of IndiGo’s Gulf network, are crucial hubs for both business and leisure travellers as well as a significant migrant workforce.

In a statement posted on social media, the airline said, “We understand the impact this may have on your travel plans, and sincerely regret the inconvenience. Please be assured that this decision has been taken as a proactive safety measure.”

The airline has not yet confirmed when full operations will resume, but said it is closely monitoring the situation and will update passengers accordingly.

IndiGo has advised passengers scheduled to fly to or from the impacted cities to check for real-time updates via the airline’s website or contact its customer care before heading to the airport. Refunds or rescheduling options are expected to be made available based on individual ticket terms.
