'Adani Can Make Or Break Governments': Congress On Industrialist Meeting CM Fadnavis
Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar said he believed industrialist Gautam Adani holds significant influence over the government, potentially affecting its stability.
Reacting to the meeting between industrialist Gautam Adani and Maharashtra Chief Minister on Tuesday, senior Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar on Wednesday said that Gautam Adani is crucial to governments. He said: "Meetings happen... Adani is the person who can make or break the government; he is the only person who can do it in India. I don't know what the meeting was about. We hope it was for industrial development in Maharashtra and job creation."
Claiming no knowledge about the meeting, Wadettiwar further said that the two should have discussed how "investments would come to Maharashtra, rather than flowing to Gujarat".

On Tuesday, industrialist Gautam Adani paid a visit to Maharashtra’s newly appointed Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis, at his official residence in Mumbai. The meeting took place at Fadnavis' residence 'Sagar' located in the city's southern part.
According to a source, the visit was a gesture of courtesy from Adani. As he was unable to attend Fadnavis' swearing-in ceremony earlier, he chose to meet with the Chief Minister on this occasion.
Fadnavis (54) made a major comeback when he assumed office as Maharashtra's Chief Minister on December 5. The swearing-in ceremony was held at Azad Maidan in South Mumbai, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, several Union ministers, and chief ministers from various states in attendance. The event also saw a large turnout of supporters from the Mahayuti alliance.
Prominent personalities such as actors Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, and Madhuri Dixit, along with cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar and industrialist Mukesh Ambani, were also present at the high-profile event.
