The last quarter of 2024 is packed with festivals like Dussehra, Diwali, Christmas, and other national holidays, which usually coincide with dry days. Dry Days, or alcohol prohibition days, are specific days in a month when the sale and consumption of alcohol are legally prohibited. These days are observed nationwide and not just in a particular city or state. However, in some cases, a state may declare additional dry days for events celebrated regionally.

So, here's a detailed breakdown of the upcoming dry days for the last three months of 2024. This will keep you informed well in advance and help you plan your fun get-togethers, business meetings, weekends, or festive celebrations, ensuring that your celebrations comply with the law.

Here's a list of dry days in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and other cities for October, November, and December 2024:

Dry Days In October

There are three dry days in October. However, Haryana will have three extra dry days in view of the Haryana Assembly elections. Maharashtra, too, will have an extra dry day, marking Prohibition Week.

October 2, Tuesday: Gandhi Jayanti
October 3, Wednesday to October 5, Friday: Haryana Legislative Assembly Elections (only in Haryana and parts of NCR)
October 8, Monday: Prohibition Week (only in Maharashtra)
October 12, Saturday: Dussehra
October 17, Thursday: Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti

According to a recent notification by the Delhi Excise department, October 31 will be a dry day in Delhi on the occasion of Diwali. The rest of the country will observe dry day on November 1 for Diwali. 

Dry Days In November

In November, there will be three dry days in India. 

November 1, Friday: Diwali
November 12, Tuesday: Kartiki Ekadashi
November 15, Friday: Guru Nanak Jayanti

Dry Days In December

In December, there will be just one dry day on December 25, Tuesday, for Christmas.
