After a video of students allegedly cleaning a toilet in a government primary school in Bulandshahar went viral, the district administration ordered a probe into the matter. In the viral video, two girl students in school uniform can be seen inside a toilet of the school and one of them appears to be cleaning the toilet.

British PM Boris Johnson To Meet PM Modi On Friday


British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who is on his maiden two-day visit to India, will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the national capital on Friday. Johnson arrived in Ahmedabad on Thursday and visited the famous Sabarmati Ashram and met industrialist Gautam Adani. The British PM's engagements in Gujarat also included visits to a manufacturing facility of JCB, a British construction equipment firm.


A major focus of Johnson's talks with PM Modi will be on the situation in the Indo-Pacific and the two leaders are likely to discuss trade, defence and the Ukraine crisis.


Johnson on Thursday said his country has raised the Ukraine war issue with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi at diplomatic levels and maintained everybody understands India and Russia shared "very different relationships historically" as he wrapped his day-long visit to Gujarat with several firsts to his credit.


Prashant Kishor To Meet Sonia Gandhi On Friday 


Congress leaders and poll strategist Prashant Kishor will sit again on Friday to deliberate on the roadmap for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, after he gave a powerpoint presentation to senior party leaders, including its Chief Ministers, of around 600 slides.


Congress leaders who have been assigned to make a report on the presentation met on Thursday for discussions and the participants included Ambika Soni, A.K Antony, Jairam Ramesh, K.C Venugopal and Randeep Surjewala.


Meanwhile, Congress general secretary Tariq Anwar said the poll strategist is willing to join the party without any preconditions and his induction would certainly help the party. Kishor, who has planned the electoral strategies of various parties, including the Trinamool Congress, AAP and DMK, wants to come into the Congress and help it, Anwar said.


Delhi's Max Temp To Remain Below 40-Degree Mark On Friday


Cloudy weather and strong winds brought the mercury in Delhi down to 35.2 degrees Celsius, three notches below normal, on Thursday offering the residents some much-needed respite from the searing heat.


The maximum temperature is predicted to remain below the 40-degree mark on Friday, too. The mercury will rise again to 42 degrees Celsius by next week, according to the India Meteorological Department. The capital has recorded eight heatwave days in April this year, the maximum since 11 such days witnessed in the month in 2010.


The weather department had earlier said northwest India and adjoining parts of central India are likely to see more intense and frequent heatwave conditions in April.


BJP Prez JP Nadda To Begin 2-Day Himachal Visit On Friday


BJP president J P Nadda will be on a two-day visit to Himachal Pradesh from Friday during which he will attend a number of public programmes, including a road show and a rally. This will be Nadda's second visit to the state, where assembly polls are going to be held later this year. He was on a three-day trip to the state earlier.


Party's chief spokesperson Anil Baluni said Nadda will conduct a road show in Nagrota Bagwan and later address a rally there on Friday. Nadda's trip will be confined to Kangra, the state's most important district politically.


The BJP is in power in the state where the Congress is its main opposition, with the Aam Aadmi party also flexing its muscles following its impressive poll win in neighbouring Punjab.


Jahangirpuri Demolition: 5-Member SP Delegation To Visit Delhi On Friday


A five-member Samajwadi Party delegation will visit Delhi Friday to "investigate" the NDMC's demolition drive in violence-hit Jahangirpuri. The Opposition party in Uttar Pradesh said that the delegation comprising sitting and former members of parliament has been formed on the instruction of party chief Akhilesh Yadav.


"BJP-ruled North Delhi Municipal Corporation destroyed Jahangirpuri with bulldozers on April 20. A five-member delegation has been constituted for its investigation," chief SP spokesperson Rajendra Choudhary said Thursday.
