TN Fisheries Minister Carried To Shoreline By Fishermen As He Didn't Want To Wet His Shoes, Video Surfaces
The minister was at Palaverkadu to inspect the effects of sea erosion.
Chennai: A video has surfaced in which the Minister for Fisheries Anitha R Radhakrishnan was captured being carried by a fisherman to the shore as he wasn't willing to get his bright white shoes wet.
The video has thus become viral. The minister was at Palaverkadu to inspect the effects of sea erosion.
The 68-year-old leader was out inspecting the effects of soil erosion in Palaverkadu, but when the boat he was on arrived close to the shoreline he realized he will have to walk the distance to reach land. But the leader decided that he didn't want to get his bright white sports shoes wet, he let a fisherman carry him till the shore while his supporters and other fishermen huddled around him for extra support.

Anitha R. Radhakrishnan is a Member of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly elected from the Tiruchendur constituency as an AIADMK candidate in 2001, 2006. Following it, as a DMK candidate in 2009 (Bye-election) 2011,2016 and 2021. After the 2021 assembly election, he won from the Tiruchendur constituency and was appointed as Minister for Fisheries – Fishermen Welfare and Animal Husbandry.
