New Delhi: Wedding usually become a topic of discussion where the attendees talk about how beautiful the bride was or the food at the reception or maybe a funny incident that happened. But the wedding in Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh has a topic of discussion for the number of people getting married. Two women married the same man at the same time. Hasina and Sudhari fell in love with a man named Chandu Maurya, they both agreed to live together. On January 3rd the three got married.


Chandu Maurya who works as a farmer, married two women at the same ‘mandap’. Now their marriage has become viral. The story started a year ago when, Chandu met Sudhari, they fell in love and decided to live together and exactly a month later, he brought Hasina home.

Sudhari says that she met Chandu while he was at her village to do farm work, while Hasina met Chandu when she came to his village to attend a wedding.



The three lived together for a year. Chandu and his family decided that he should get married and throw a party, they printed their invitations. While one of the woman’s family didn’t turn up for the wedding there were about 600-700 wedding guests from the villages. The three continue to work together as farmers and live happily ever after.

In an equally bizarre event, a bride decided to marry one of her wedding guests after the groom fled from the wedding venue in a village in Tarikere taluk, Chikkamagaluru district, Karnataka. The groom, Naveen, ran away from his own marriage after being threatened by his girlfriend of consuming poison in front of the guests of the wedding. Following the threat, Naveen chose to skip his own wedding to meet his girlfriend.
