Amgaon is a State Assembly/Vidhan Sabha consituency is a part of the Gadchiroli Chimur Lok Sabha seat. Bharatiya Janata Party’s Ashok Mahadeorao Nete won this seat in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections by a margin of 77526 votes.
BJP’s Puram Sanjay Hanwantrao won Amgaon assembly seat in 2014 Maharashtra Assembly Elections by a margin of 18295 votes. Runner-up Ramrtanbapu Bhartrajbapu Raut of INC bagged 44295 votes. Third position was held by NCP's Taram Ramesh Narayan. Fourth came Sahasram Maroti Korote while Gawrane Mulchand Harichand of SHS got the fifth spot.
