Actor Vishwak Sen, whose film 'Laila' is releasing today, has appealed for the audience's support, emphasizing that the success of the film is crucial for many people involved in its creation.

In a video posted on his X timeline, Vishwak Sen addressed the recent controversy surrounding the film, stating, “Namaste to all. There has been a lot of misunderstanding and disturbance, but on behalf of my team and myself, I offer an apology, even though we did not make any mistake. What I shared at the pre-release event was simply that hatred will lead us nowhere. We must reduce anger and misunderstandings."
He added, "I am one of you, and your support has brought me this far. If I succeed, it's because you have supported me. If you encourage me, I will be able to take on many more good roles."
With the release of Laila today, Vishwak Sen requested the audience's backing, saying, “We need all of your support. We aim to make you laugh till your tummy aches. Our goal is to make you smile and enjoy. There are many new people in this film—new director, new heroine—and a lot of lives depend on its success. Our only intention is to create good cinema.”
Urging people to focus on the film and not the controversy, he concluded, “Let’s cool down and watch Laila. You’ll laugh a lot. We need your support.”
Vishwak Sen’s plea comes after actor Prudhvi Raj’s controversial remarks at the film’s pre-release event led to calls for a boycott of Laila, particularly from some social media users who felt his comments were aimed at the YSR Congress Party.
