Kichcha Sudeep Teases Retirement From Acting, Says 'One Has A Shelf Life As A Leading Man'

Kichcha Sudeep recently reflected on his career, sharing his thoughts about potentially stepping away from acting in the future.

New Delhi: Kannada superstar Kichcha Sudeep has dropped a bombshell, hinting at his retirement from acting in a recent podcast interview. The actor, who made a grand comeback with his Christmas release Max, revealed that he feels saturated with taking on leading hero roles and is exploring fresh opportunities in the film industry.

Recently, Sudeep discussed his profession with Raghavendra Chitravani on a podcast, and he talked about his desire to retire from acting. He said, "Every hero becomes a bore in the end. Each one has a shelf life as a leading man. As a hero, I’ve never made anyone wait on my set. Tomorrow, if I were to do a supporting role, I wouldn’t want to sit around waiting for someone else." 

The actor has made it clear that he is not bored of acting but rather wants to pursue other forms of creativity after retiring. He said, “The ones I give up on are not bad; it’s about what I want to do at this point of time.” 

Later in the interview, Sudeep informed his audience that he is still very much involved in the film business, even if he is taking a break from performing. As he progresses in his profession, he plans to pursue other interests, including filmmaking and scriptwriting.

Anyone who hasn't been following the news may be surprised to hear that Kichcha Sudeep has declared his intention to resign as host of Bigg Boss Kannada from the next season. He has been a part of it for the previous ten seasons.
