Allu Arjun arrested: Pushpa 2 actor Allu Arjun was arrested by Hyderabad police on Friday in connection with a tragic fan death during the film's premiere. The incident, which occurred on December 4 at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad, claimed the life of Revathi, a devoted fan, while her young son remains in critical condition. The stampede, caused by an overwhelming crowd surge, left the theatre owner and two employees facing legal consequences. Arjun has now become the fourth individual arrested in the case.

Videos circulating on X (formerly Twitter) captured Allu Arjun, dressed in a Pushpa 2 sweatshirt, sipping coffee as police officers waited to escort him. The actor’s family, including his wife Sneha Reddy, brother Allu Sirish, and father Allu Aravind, stood by him during the incident. Before leaving with the authorities, Arjun kissed his wife. 






Producer Bunny Vas was also present at the scene, reportedly attempting to mediate over the phone. The actor expressed his displeasure with the police’s actions, particularly their entry into his private space. “Sir, you haven’t honoured anything. I told you I wanted to change my clothes and send one person up with me. You’re not wrong to take me in, but it’s too much to come up to my bedroom. That’s not good,” Arjun told the officers.

During the premiere, Allu Arjun visited Sandhya Theatre to celebrate the release with his fans. However, the uncontrollable crowd turned the celebration into a nightmare, leading to the tragic loss of life. 


Earlier, Allu Arjun had filed a plea at the Telangana High Court, requesting the quashing of an FIR lodged against him in connection with the death. In his petition, Arjun has sought a stay on all legal proceedings, including potential arrest, until the matter is resolved in court. 


The actor also announced financial aid of ₹25 lakh for the family of the deceased woman. He also shared his condolences in a heartfelt 3-minute-47-second video posted on X.
