‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ Box Office Collection Day 7: Aamir Khan’s Film Inches Close To ₹90 Crore Mark In First Week

Aamir Khan and Genelia D’Souza’s film ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ has completed its first week at the box office. Here’s how much it has collected so far.

'Sitaare Zameen Par' Box Office Collection Day 7: Aamir Khan's latest release 'Sitaare Zameen Par', co-starring Genelia D'Souza, has completed a successful first week at the box office, inching close to the ₹90 crore milestone. According to trade portal Sacnilk, the film has netted ₹89.15 crore in India and is expected to cross ₹100 crore over the weekend.

The film added ₹6.75 crore to its total on Wednesday, with global earnings now surpassing ₹130 crore. Compared to Aamir’s past releases, 'Sitaare Zameen Par' is already on track to outperform 'Ghajini' (₹114 crore) and closing in on 'Thugs of Hindostan' (₹145 crore).

Prior to the film’s release, superstar Aamir Khan made headlines for turning down a ₹120 crore OTT offer, stating his intent to keep the movie exclusive to theatres for at least a year. “I want people to return to theatres for meaningful stories,” Aamir had said during the press tour.

Despite competition from 'Kuberaa' (₹69 crore) and the big-budget comedy 'Housefull 5' (₹180 crore), 'Sitaare Zameen Par' has maintained a steady pace, thanks to word-of-mouth and its emotional resonance with audiences.
