Rohit Shetty also shared their picture posing together from the sets today, captioning it - "The #Simmba journey begins... @ranveersingh #SaraAliKhan@karanjohar @reliance.entertainment@dharmamovies @rohitshettypicturez@simmbathefilm"

'Simmba' is a remake of the Telugu hit 'Temper' in which Ranveer plays a rowdy policeman.

On collaborating with Rohit for the first time, Ranveer had said - "'Simmba' is my first collaboration with Rohit Shetty which I know people are really excited about and me more than anyone to be diving into the masala genre with king of the genre." - as reported by IANS.

For this film Rohit also wanted Ranveer to transform his physique to play the role of police officer and we saw in some of actor's latest social media posts that he did accomplish it too.

"He(Rohit) is very keen that I have big muscles in the film. He has told me -- Jab tu wardi pehenega na to wardi phatni chahiye." -Ranveer had told IANS a while ago before working on his body for 'Simmba'.

Reportedly, 'Simmba' team will shoot at Ramoji Film City initially, after which, they will move to other locations across India for the coming two months shoot schedule.

For Sara on the other hand, who is making her Bollywood debut with Abhishek Kapoor's 'Kedarnath' starring Sushant Singh Rajput opposite her, this is the second film as lead heroine.

The big cops-action film "Simmba" is set to release on December 28th.
