The fifth installment in Jayaraj’s Navarasa series, Veeram is an adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Macbeth and has also taken inspiration from the story of a Kerala warrior, Chanthu Chekavar. The film has been a part of the nomination list of the 89th Academy Awards. The film’s soundtrack ‘We will rise’ has been nominated for the original song category at Oscar’s. This year, apart from Veeram, Kunal will be seen in Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Raagdesh.
