Produced by YRF’s Akshaye Widhani, 'Saiyaara' boasts an emotionally rich soundtrack that’s clearly resonated with audiences worldwide. The film’s title track has now stormed into the top 10 on Spotify’s 'Top 50 Global chart'—landing at an impressive No. 8 at the time of reporting. This places the Bollywood ballad ahead of music by global icons like Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, and Sabrina Carpenter.

Saiyaara title track first Bollywood song in Spotify Top 50 Global chart

The song, composed by Tanishk, Farheem and Arslan, marks a significant milestone for Indian cinema, it is reportedly the first Hindi film track to break into Spotify’s coveted global chart, as noted by the makers. While indie Indian acts such as Hanumankind’s Big Dawgs have appeared on the list, this is a rare feat for mainstream Bollywood music.

In addition to the title song, the film’s complete album has also dominated Indian charts. Six tracks, including Barbaad (Reprise) by Jubin Nautiyal and Shilpa Rao, Tum Ho Toh by Vishal Mishra, Humsafar by Sachet-Parampara, and Saiyaara (Reprise) featuring Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal, were simultaneously ranked in the top 10 on Spotify India’s Top 50 on Tuesday.

Interestingly, the 'Saiyaara' title track is currently holding its own against heavyweights like BLACKPINK’s Jump, Justin Bieber’s Daisies, and Alex Warren’s Ordinary. It has even edged out Billie Eilish’s Birds of a Feather and Gaga’s latest drop from the top 10.

Ananya Panday and Alanna Panday celebrate the chart milestone

As the song climbed the global ranks, support poured in from Ahaan Panday’s family. Actor Ananya Panday shared a screenshot on Instagram of the song at #7 on the Global chart and wrote, “Saiyaara on global charts top 50 on Spotify, how crazy! I'm doing my bit to take it to number 1 now. Let's do it India #OnLoop.” Influencer Alanna Panday also cheered the moment with a post that read, “#Saiyaara hit Spotify Global Charts #7.”
