New Delhi: ‘Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein’ is a Bollywood romantic drama film helmed by Gautham Menon starring R Madhavan, Dia Mirza and Saif Ali Khan in the lead roles. ‘RHTDM’ is the remake of the director’s own Tamil movie ‘Minnale’ which also starred Madhavan. This cult classic also marked the debut of R Madhavan and Dia Mirza in Bollywood. The film redefined love with the perfect romantic drama and has become a cult classic with its evergreen melodious tracks.

As ‘RHTDM’ completes 19 years, Jaccky Bhagnani, who worked on the film as an assistant, took to his social media and revealed that it was first ever film project. He shared a video montage of the film and wrote, “Bas ek hi Tamanna hai.. Rehna hai tere dil mein” ~ RHTDM a love story that redefined love for many of us. My first film as an assistant on set as a 15 year old,little did I know that whats being made is going to live in our hearts forever. Dia Mirza shared, “This one is very close to my heart. I was all of 19 and this was my first movie Celebrating this beautiful journey of love Love for storytelling, love for cinema. While speaking to IANS a while back, R Madhavan said, “When the film released, it was a flop. They called it a disaster. But after it got out from the theatres it slowly became iconic in nature. Now, everybody is putting the songs up, of them singing and dancing to it.”

Given the cult-like status of the film, many fans of the film want a sequel of the film and looks like their wishes will finally come true.

Rumour has it that Jackky Bhagnani might be planning on producing a sequel of the film.
