Released on July 4, the romantic musical helmed by Anurag Basu stars a strong ensemble including Sara Ali Khan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Pankaj Tripathi. Despite a promising start, the film's collection saw a sharp fall on Monday.

With only 15.66% occupancy in Hindi-speaking regions on Monday, the numbers reflect a concerning dip. Morning shows saw just 7.82% turnout, while night shows peaked slightly at 20.97%.

Made on an estimated budget of ₹85 crore, Metro… In Dino is now facing an uphill task to break even. As per current trends, its lifetime business is projected to close somewhere between ₹30-35 crore, far from the benchmark it needs to cross.

While the film opened to positive reviews and did well in urban hubs like Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, and Pune, it hasn’t yet turned into a word-of-mouth success. Moreover, unlike Life… In A Metro, the soundtrack of this spiritual sequel has not caught on with audiences at the same level.

Facing fierce competition from Hollywood heavyweights like Jurassic World Rebirth and F1: The Movie, plus Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par, the film’s urban-centric audience may not be enough to sustain it against new releases flooding cinemas.
