Game Changer Collection Day 4: Ram Charan's Film Slumps Further, Ram Gopal Varma Questions Box Office Claims

The political drama Game Changer, starring Ram Charan and Kiara Advani, has experienced a significant decline at the box office after an impressive opening day.

Game Changer Box Office Collection Day 4: The political drama Game Changer, starring Ram Charan and Kiara Advani, has experienced a significant decline at the box office after an impressive opening day. The film collected ₹51 crore on its first day in India but saw a sharp drop of 57.65% on day 2, earning ₹21.6 crore.

On day 3, the film’s India box office numbers further dropped by 26.39%, bringing in ₹15.9 crore. The downward trend continued on day 4 (Monday), with collections dwindling to ₹8.5 crore. This brings the total India box office collection to around ₹97 crore, with estimates suggesting it will cross ₹100 crore today.

The movie recorded an overall occupancy of 20.58% in Telugu shows, 14.22% in Tamil shows, and 8.16% in Hindi shows, according to film trade portal Sacnilk.

Ram Gopal Varma criticises Game Changer

Meanwhile, filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma criticided the Game Changer team for allegedly fabricating box office numbers. He wrote on X: "If @ssrajamouli and @SukumarWritings sky rocketed telugu cinema in real time collections into a fantastically stratospheric heights thereby sending legitimate shock waves into Bollywood, the people behind G C succeeded in proving that the south is much more FANTASTIC in being a FRAUD."

Varma expressed disbelief at the alleged falsification, stating: "I don’t know who’s behind this unbelievably naive lies, but for sure it can’t be producer Dil Raju because he is a truly grounded realist and he’s incapable of the fraud that is being committed."

Game Changer faces backlash

The Game Changer team has faced backlash for purportedly inflating its opening day box office numbers. According to Sacnilk, the film’s worldwide collections on day 1 were approximately ₹80 crore, with a net collection of ₹51 crore and a gross collection of ₹61 crore in India, supplemented by ₹19 crore from overseas markets.

However, the film’s official social media account claimed worldwide earnings of ₹186 crore, leading trade analysts to accuse the makers of inflating figures by nearly ₹100 crore. Analysts have called for greater transparency in reporting box office numbers.
