Riteish Deshmukh Calls Aamir Khan’s 'Sitaare Zameen Par' Trailer ‘Extraordinary’; Fans Excited for Genelia’s Comeback

Riteish Deshmukh praises Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par trailer as “extraordinary” ahead of its release. Fans cheer for Genelia D’Souza’s comeback.

Despite the underwhelming performance of 'Laal Singh Chaddha' at the box office, anticipation is sky-high for Aamir Khan’s upcoming film 'Sitaare Zameen Par'. Touted as the spiritual sequel to his 2007 classic 'Taare Zameen Par', the film has been building buzz with its promotional material. While the poster received mixed reviews, early reactions to the trailer suggest the film may live up to the hype.

On Tuesday afternoon, Aamir Khan Productions officially announced that the Sitaare Zameen Par trailer would be released later that evening. The announcement came with a sneak peek introducing Aamir and the film’s young ensemble cast, including Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Vedant Sharma, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, Ayush Bhansali, Samvit Desai, and Simran Mangeshkar.

Riteish Deshmukh announcement

Shortly after the announcement, Riteish Deshmukh took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his early reaction to the trailer. He wrote, “Extraordinary trailer #SitaareZameenPar.” It appears that Riteish was among the select few to watch the trailer before its official release.

Adding to the excitement, Riteish’s wife, Genelia D’Souza, is also part of the film. This marks the first time Aamir Khan and Genelia will share the screen as co-stars. Interestingly, Aamir produced Genelia’s breakout 2008 film Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na, where she starred opposite Imran Khan.

Fans were quick to respond to Riteish’s post. One user wrote, “Excited for Genelia ma’am's comeback 🥺🔥✅,” while another added, “Aapne keh diya matlab hoga hi.”

With the trailer launch on the horizon and strong early buzz, 'Sitaare Zameen Par' is shaping up to be one of the most talked-about releases of the year.
