According to a report by Siasat Daily, the split occurred a few weeks ago due to differing perspectives on their future together. Tamannaah was reportedly keen on settling down, while Vijay was not ready to take the plunge. This difference in outlook reportedly led to recurring disagreements, eventually resulting in their decision to go their separate ways. 

While these claims have fueled speculation, the real reason behind their breakup remains unknown, as neither Vijay nor Tamannaah has made any official statement.

Tamannaah Bhatia and Vijay Varma first sparked dating rumours in December 2022 when a video from a New Year’s Eve party in Goa went viral. The clip, which showed them sharing a kiss as fireworks lit up the sky, quickly became a hot topic on social media. Even before this, Vijay’s presence at Tamannaah’s birthday celebration and their frequent public appearances had already fueled speculation about their relationship. 

As 2023 unfolded, the two were often seen together—whether on casual drives around Mumbai or holding hands in public—further solidifying rumours of their romance. On Valentine’s Day, Tamannaah added to the buzz by posting a cryptic Instagram story featuring two pairs of feet with a red heart emoji, leaving fans even more curious. 

Initially choosing to stay silent, Tamannaah later confirmed their relationship, calling Vijay her "happy place" in an interview. Vijay, on his part, shared that their film played a significant role in bringing them closer, though they didn’t start dating during the shoot. It was at the wrap party—an intimate gathering of just four people—where Vijay expressed his interest in spending more time with Tamannaah. Less than a month later, they had their first date, marking the beginning of a two-year-long relationship.
