Saif Ali Khan was dressed in a classic, no-fuss ensemble. The actor opted for a short white kurta paired with traditional pyjamas, completing the look with tan jootis and a pair of dark sunglasses. He also wore a face mask. After getting down from the scooter, the actor didn’t stop to pose or engage with the media, instead headed straight to the jetty.

The video comes amid reports that Saif has started shooting for filmmaker Rahul Dholakia’s upcoming political drama, where he is set to portray India’s first Chief Election Commissioner, Sukumar Sen. According to a report by Mid-day, production for the yet-untitled film began on April 20 near Ballard Estate’s Grand Hotel. This marks Saif’s first shoot after recovering from an injury he sustained earlier this year.
The film, which also stars Pratik Gandhi and Deepak Dobriyal, is expected to be shot across several locations in Mumbai over the next few weeks. “The set had over 200 extras who formed the crowd. It was a charged sequence with Pratik and Deepak. Saif and the director intend to shoot a chunk of the drama by May-end. The actor has wrapped up promotions for 'Jewel Thief', and will focus entirely on this project in the coming days," Mid-Day quoted its source as saying.
The Netflix-backed film will focus on the incredible story behind India’s first general elections held between October 25, 1951, and February 21, 1952—a major milestone in the country’s transition to democratic governance. The story is expected to shed light on the logistical and political challenges of conducting elections in a newly independent nation, something neither the government nor citizens had previously experienced.

Meanwhile, Saif is also gearing up for the release of his action thriller 'Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins', which drops on Netflix on April 25, 2025. The film, directed by Kookie Gulati and Robbie Grewal, stars Jaideep Ahlawat, Nikita Dutta, and Kunal Kapoor. It follows a high-stakes mission to steal a legendary diamond known as the African Red Sun, with Saif playing the titular jewel thief facing off against Jaideep’s character.
