In a tragic incident, Pakistani actor and reality TV personality Humaira Asghar Ali was found dead in her apartment in Karachi. Her body was recovered in a severely decomposed state, indicating she had passed away several days earlier.

According to Pakistani media, the discovery was made on Tuesday when officials from Gizri Police Station arrived at her rented apartment in Defence Housing Authority (DHA) to execute a court order for eviction. Police said she had not paid rent since 2024, prompting the landlord to seek legal action.
According to DIG South, officers reached the flat around 3:15 pm and, after receiving no response, forcibly entered the premises. Inside, they found Humaira’s lifeless body on the floor. Her remains were sent to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for a post-mortem. Police surgeon Dr Summaiya Syed confirmed that the body was in a very advanced stage of decomposition, suggesting she had been dead for several days.
Who was Humaira Asghar Ali?
Humaira Asghar, also known as Humaira Asghar Ali, was a well-known figure in Pakistani television and modelling. Born in Lahore, she trained in Visual and Performing Arts at the National College of Arts (NCA) and the College of Art & Design (PUCAD). She began her modelling career in 2013 and later transitioned to acting with roles in television dramas like Laali, Benaam, Chal Dil Mere, and Sirat-e-Mustaqeem.
She made her film debut in 2015 with Jalaibee and last appeared on screen in the 2021 film Love Vaccine. She rose to greater public attention in 2022 after participating in the ARY Digital reality show Tamasha Ghar, the Pakistani version of Bigg Boss. Her most recent acting credit was in the TV drama Esaan Faramosh, where her performance was well received.
In 2023, Humaira was honoured with the National Woman Leadership Award for Best Emerging Talent and Rising Star. Sharing the moment on Instagram, she wrote, "This award means so much to me, not just as an individual, as a qualified artist, actress, but as a symbol of what women can achieve and support to thrive if they are given the best opportunities. With the realisation of their true potential, authenticity and unstoppable energy will be unlocked to make Pakistan shine nationally and internationally always."
Despite having over 715,000 followers on Instagram, Humaira was not particularly active on social media. Her last post was dated September 30, 2024. According to her profile, she was also a painter and sculptor and occasionally shared videos of her fitness routines.
Her unexpected death has left the industry in shock, with actors such as Amar Khan, Mawra Hocane, Adnan Siddiqui, and Hina Altaf expressing their grief online. While police have not yet confirmed foul play, the investigation continues.
