Jacqueline Fernandez is mourning the loss of her mother, Kim Fernandez, who passed away after a prolonged battle with health complications.

Jacqueline Fernandez is mourning the loss of her mother, Kim Fernandez, who passed away after a prolonged battle with health complications. Kim was admitted to Lilavati Hospital and Research Centre in Bandra, Mumbai, on March 24 after suffering a heart stroke. She was immediately placed in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), where she fought for 13 days before tragically passing away today.

Although Kim preferred to stay out of the limelight, she was known to be a pillar of strength and support for Jacqueline throughout her life. The funeral and last rites are expected to be held in a private ceremony, attended only by close family and friends. Jacqueline has not yet issued an official statement regarding her mother's passing.

On Wednesday, Jacqueline Fernandez was spotted arriving at Lilavati Hospital to be by her mother’s side, who had been admitted to the ICU following a heart stroke.
Earlier, a source close to the actress told Hindustan Times that Jacqueline was originally scheduled to perform at the IPL ceremony last week. However, she chose to withdraw in order to be with her mother. She had also planned to attend the IPL match between Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders in Guwahati on March 26.
“Jacqueline’s mother is still in the ICU recovering. As the family awaits further update from the doctors. In these challenging times, Jacqueline has chosen to be by her mother’s side, and unfortunately will be missing performing at the IPL ceremony,” the source said.
