Actress Alia Bhatt, a close friend of Ayan, arrived at his home with her sister Shaheen Bhatt. She had been vacationing in Alibaug with husband Ranbir Kapoor but returned promptly on Friday morning. Ranbir is also back in Mumbai to stand by Ayan’s side during this difficult time.

Kajol, accompanied by her son Yug, was also seen at the residence. As Deb Mukherjee’s niece, she shared a close bond with him. Veteran actress Jaya Bachchan, who was well-acquainted with Deb, was also among those who visited to pay their respects.

Deb Mukherjee was a familiar presence at Kajol and Rani Mukerji’s annual Durga Puja celebrations, where he was often seen interacting with guests and participating in rituals alongside his relatives.

Who Was Deb Mukherjee?

Deb Mukherjee, a veteran actor and a revered member of the Samarth-Mukherjee family, passed away due to age-related health complications, as confirmed by his spokesperson to ABP News. He was the father of filmmaker Ayan Mukerji and the father-in-law of renowned director Ashutosh Gowariker.

His funeral is scheduled to take place at Pawan Hans Crematorium in Juhu on March 14 at 4 PM. Several prominent members of his extended family, including Ajay Devgn, Rani Mukerji, Tanuja, Tanisha, and Aditya Chopra, are expected to attend. Ayan Mukerji’s close friends, such as Hrithik Roshan, Sidharth Malhotra, Deepika Padukone, and Ranveer Singh, may also be present to pay their final respects.
