Stand-up comedian Madhur Virli recently stirred controversy after making jokes about fellow comedians Anubhav Singh Bassi and Harsh Gujral, referring to them as homosexuals during a performance. The clip, which was shared by Madhur himself on Instagram, has received mixed reactions from viewers.

Madhur Virli calls Bassi & Gujral gay

In the video, Madhur is seen engaging the audience with a promise to reveal the "truth" about Bassi and Gujral. He says:“People are so scared in our society. Let me tell you the truth. There are some comics in Delhi who are gay but are unable to come out. Have you heard of Anubhav Singh Bassi? Bassi is gay. Yes. What do you think he does with four of his friends after drinking alcohol at night?”

However, Madhur quickly clarified that his comment was made in jest, adding:“I am just joking, Bassi is not gay.”

The comedian then brought Harsh Gujral into the bit, saying:“Do you know about Harsh Gujral? Harsh is gay. It is true.”

In the caption of the video, Madhur humorously claimed:“Update: Bassi & Harsh are dating each other 🤯.”
