The counting of votes for the 200-member Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, which took place in a single phase on November 25, is scheduled to start on Sunday morning.
The counting of votes recorded on electonic voting machines will start from 8 am while counting of postal ballots will begin from 8: 30 am.
Tight security arrangements have been made to ensure hassle-free counting of the votes in the state, said Rajasthan Chief Electoral Officer Praveen Gupta, reported PTI. He said that proper security arrangements have been made at all the counting centres — two centres each in Jaipur, Jodhpur, and Nagaur, and at one centre each in the remaining 30 districts where votes are being counted.
According to Gupta, 2,524 tables have been installed at the counting centres to count the votes from EVM that have recorded the mandate at 51,890 polling centres, as per the report. The entire counting process will be completed in 4,245 rounds.
The Sheo assembly constituency will see 41 rounds of counting according to the report while the same would get completed in 14 rounds at Ajmer South constituency.
The chief electoral officer, in a statement, said that 40 companies of central police forces have been deployed for the security of EVMs while 36 companies of Rajasthan Armed Constabulary (RAC) have been deployed at the counting centres, reported PTI. Besides, ninety-nine companies of RAC have been deployed in various districts to maintain law and order, the statement added.
The results will be declared on time without any delay or error, Gupta added.
More than 4.36 lakh voters exercised their franchise through postal ballots in the November 25 polls with 49,365 of them being above the age of 80 years, 11,656 persons with disabilities, 4,427 from essential services and 3.71 lakh were those who were engaged in conducting the voting process.

The BJP will form Rajasthan's next government. The saffron party received 115 seats, while Congress received 69.
Furthermore, the Bharat Adivasi Party won three seats and the Bahujan Samaj Party won two.
Until late, the BJP had not declared a CM candidate in Rajasthan. The BJP's top leadership gathered in Delhi's BJP headquarters to celebrate the party's victory in the Hindi heartland of Rajasthan. Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh are two states.
