New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday made a thundering attack on West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee during his poll rally in the TMC Supremo’s own state, reiterating his “speed-breaker” jibe at her. While addressing a poll rally ahead of the first phase of Lok Sabha elections in Bengal’s Cooch Behar, Modi tore into the ruling TMC over a number of reasons including development in the state. Addressing a massive crowd in a jam-packed arena, the PM alleged that he was allotted a venue with limited space for his rally so that not many people can attend. Attacking Banerjee over her recent criticism of the Election Comission for removal of police officers in Bengal, Modi said that the way she expressed anger against EC shows how much perplexed she is. “Didi is fast losing political ground” he said. Mamata Banerjee on Saturday wrote to the Election Commission protesting transfers of four IPS officers, including Kolkata and Bidhannagar police commissioners. The EC decision is "unfortunate", "highly arbitrary, motivated and biased" and taken at the behest of BJP, the letter said, urging the poll panel to review its decision. Repeating his speed-breaker jibe at Mamata, Modi said to the gathering: “The more you chant 'Modi Modi', the more someone loses their sleep. You know who they are? 'Speed breaker'. The speed breaker of West Bengal - Didi. She is losing her sleep and is taking out her anger on her officers, on Election Commission.” If somebody wants to see a demonstration of what losing grounds in politics is like, they should see the frustration and anger of Didi; her anger speaks all about how she is losing grounds, the PM said. He slammed Banerjee for supporting Congress and its allies. He said “Didi has now started supporting those who want twp Prime Ministers in India- one for India and one for Kashmir, in an indirect reference to National Conference leader Omar Abdullah’s Wazir-e-Azam remark for Kashmir. “The promise of 'Ma Maati Maanush' is on one hand & the truth of  TMC on the other hand. For vote bank politics, didi forgot 'Ma' and sided with those who raise slogans of 'Bharat ke tukde tukde'. This is an insult to Maa”, the PM said. “Didi betrayed 'Maati' when she tried to protect infiltrators for her political benefit. When she handed over the people of West Bengal to goons of TMC, she shattered the hopes of Maanush”, he said. Earlier this week. PM had made a scathing attack at the TMC supremo describing her a "speedbreaker" in the path of development of the state and also who wants poverty to stay so her "politics of poverty" can flourish.
