UP Man Dies After Wife Pushes Him Off Roof Following Argument Over Her 'Late-Night Calls'
The victim's sister accused his wife of harbouring resentment towards her brother and of frequently arguing with him.

A 40-year-old man lost his life after being pushed off the roof of his house by his wife during a domestic dispute in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday night, according to officials.
The altercation began when the victim, identified as Dilshad, returned home and asked his wife, Shanno, to serve him food, which led to a heated argument. During the quarrel, family members claim Shanno pushed him from the roof, according to a report by NDTV.
Following the incident, Dilshad was rushed to the nearby hospital, however, he was pronounced dead on the spot.
Dilshad's sister, Saima Bano, accused Shanno of harbouring resentment towards Dilshad and of frequently arguing with him. "We saw that she pushed him. She did not like our brother and often fought with him," she said.
Their mother, Qureesha Bano, who lives in the same housing complex, claimed that the couple had been quarreling for the past two to three years, often over Shanno spending long hours talking to someone on the phone.
"They used to fight every day over this. She has even run away from home a couple of times. Even then, my son got her back. She used to beat my son too...Because of her, my son is gone," she added.
Victim's Wife Refuses All Allegations
Meanwhile, rejecting all the allegations against her, Shanno claimed that her husband jumped from the roof as Dilshad was an alcoholic. "He came home drunk yesterday and jumped from the roof. He used to come home drunk every day...My mother-in-law is making false allegations," she accused.
The couple has been married for eight years. "If for eight years I have tolerated this and not done anything like this, why would I now?" she added.
After the family of Dilshad registered a complaint against Shanno, the Police have taken her into custody. "The man fell off the roof during a fight with his wife. His body has been kept in the mortuary...We have taken his wife into custody, and the investigation is underway," Additional Superintendent of Police Akhand Pratap Singh said.
