A police sub-inspector was killed while five people were injured in a tragic road accident that occurred on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway near in Uttar Pradesh's Unnao.
The mishap took place when a speeding Ertiga car rear-ended a moving bus. The impact was so severe that Sub-Inspector Manjeet Singh, who was in the car, died on the spot. Five other occupants of the vehicle sustained serious injuries.
According to reports, the police team was returning to Amethi after recovering a girl from Rajasthan.
Upon receiving information, local police rushed to the scene and launched a rescue operation. CO Bangarmau Arvind Chaurasia also arrived at the site. The injured were sent to the hospital via ambulance, while the body of the deceased officer was taken for postmortem examination.
