Uttarakhand Woman Rider's Bike Stolen In Guwahati Ahead Of Women's Day
A biker from Uttarakhand, 'Rider Noni', on a 30,000 km 'Women Empowerment' ride, was shocked to find her bike stolen from a guesthouse in Guwahati, Assam.
A biker from Uttarakhand has shared her harrowing experience in Assam's Guwahati. 'Rider Noni', who is on a 30,000 km 'Women Empowerment' ride, received the shock of her life when she discovered that her bike was stolen from the Sarusajai area of Guwahati in Assam on Wednesday.
Taking to Instagram, 'Rider Noni' sought help from the Assam Police and Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in recovering her bike. She said: "I have been on this 'women empowerment' tour for the last six months. I have toured nearly half of India, but I was shocked after entering Assam, where my bike was stolen." She also shared the CCTV footage of the theft.

Ironically, the bike was stolen just 3 days before International Women's Day.
"After I entered Northeast, some other riders joined us. Our plan was to camp out after we reached Guwahati. In Guwahati, we booked a guesthouse [in Sarusajai], from where my bike was stolen around 2.30 AM. I am struggling to finance my ride and I need your help to recover my bike," she said.
She said that she had registered a complaint with the police as well. The Guwahati Police sought the details from Rider Noni on Instagram, too.
The biker from Uttarkhand was seen in another video entering Northeast on a Yamaha MT 15. She did not mention if this was the bike that had been stolen.
Calls to Rider Noni for the latest development on the incident went unanswered.
