Murder Accused From Bihar Who Came To Delhi To Celebrate New Year's Eve Trapped In Police Net

A man wanted by the Dwarka court for murder has been arrested in Burari. He allegedly conspired with his brother-in-law and killed a man.

Delhi Latest News: The anti-auto theft squad in Delhi's Dwarka has arrested a fugitive in a kidnapping and murder case. The suspect was identified as Vicky Kumar alias Rituraj. The accused is a resident of Muzaffarpur district of Bihar. The accused, along with his brother-in-law Varun, had kidnapped a man for ransom and murdered him. A case was registered in this matter at Baba Haridas Nagar police station.

DCP Ankit Singh said that the accused was arrested from Delhi's Burari area. He was declared a fugitive by a Dwarka court. He first kidnapped a young man named Sachin with his brother-in-law for ransom. When the ransom demand was not met, he brutally murdered the young man so that his identity could not be revealed. After being arrested in the case, he escaped to avoid trial. He then hid in Bihar under a false identity. 

The police said that they received information about Kumar arriving in Delhi for New Year's Eve celebrations. The police then set up a trap to apprehend the fugitive.

Sources said that the fugitive had come to his friend's house in Burari to celebrate the New Year. After this, an operation was launched under the supervision of ACP Ram Avtar and a team led by AATS in-charge Inspector Kamlesh Kumar. The cops launched a door-to-door check in Burari. After this, the accused was apprehended in a raid based on technical and manual surveillance.
