Kanpur News: An accident occurred in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur on Tuesday when a Government Inter College (GIC) tour bus collided with a stationary truck, resulting in the death of a student and injuries to 13 others.
According to Dainik Jagran, students from Rajkiya Inter College, Bindki, were on an educational tour to Kanpur when their bus crashed into a parked truck near Chivli river under Aung police station limits. The accident happened around 10:30 am as three buses were travelling towards Kanpur. While two buses passed safely, one struck the truck on the conductor’s side.
Locals rushed to help, evacuating the students through the rear exit of the bus. In the accident, two teachers and 13 students were injured, while a student named Nasra succumbed to her injuries.
The injured were taken to Kanpur’s Halat Hospital. Station Officer (SO) Kalyanpur, Hanuman Pratap Singh, stated that the truck was en route to Rajasthan, and its driver had parked it to remove wheel chocks when the collision occurred. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Central, Dinesh Tripathi, visited the hospital to check on the injured.

Nashik Autorickshaw Accident
In another road accident, three people, including a four-year-old girl, were killed, and two others sustained serious injuries after an autorickshaw collided with a container truck in Maharashtra’s Nashik district.
The accident took place on Monday evening on Sinnar-Ghoti Road in Igatpuri taluka, police said, as per news agency PTI. The autorickshaw driver, Amol Vinayak Ghuge (25), died on the spot, while his daughter, Swara, and another passenger, Martand Piraji Awad (60), succumbed to injuries at a hospital. Two other autorickshaw passengers sustained severe injuries and were hospitalised.
The police have detained the truck driver and registered a case against him, officials confirmed.
