'Won't Put You In Drum, Will Cut You And...': Ghaziabad Man Alleges Death Threats By Wife And Her Lover

A man in Ghaziabad has accused his wife and her alleged lover of threatening to kill him and dispose of his body. Police have launched an investigation after receiving his complaint.

A man in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh filed a complaint with the local police, accusing his wife and her alleged lover of threatening to kill him and dumping his body in a pond to destroy all evidence. An investigation has been initiated into the matter.

Abdul Qadir, a resident of Khirajpur, submitted a written complaint to the rural Deputy Commissioner of Police. According to the complaint, Qadir's wife Samar Jahan, and her relative Farmaan, with whom she is reportedly in a relationship, have repeatedly threatened to kill him, India Today reported.

Qadir said he got married to Samar Jahan on March 15, 2012 as per Muslim customs. The couple has four children. He stated that Farmaan, his nephew, had been visiting their house regularly when he used to be away for work. Qadir grew suspicious after neighbours began commenting on their alleged relationship and later caught the two in a compromising situation himself, the report said.

“When I confronted them, they beat me up and threatened to kill me,” Qadir said. He further alleged that he had caught the two of them together on 3 April when he returned home. "They beat me again and said, ‘This time we won’t put you in a drum, we will cut you into pieces and feed you to the fish in the pond.’”

Not just Qadir, but his wife also allegedly threatened to throw their children into a canal. "I stayed silent for the sake of my children’s future, but now I fear for my life," he said.

He also claimed that she isolated him from his in-laws and threatened to implicate him in false cases. In his complaint, Qadir stated that he had call recordings and eyewitness accounts to back his claims. "This case shows how family relations can turn into a threat to life," Qadir's complaint said.

Police officials confirmed they have received the complaint, and the Deputy Commissioner of Police for rural Ghaziabad has instructed the Muradnagar police station to carry out an investigation.

Police are currently examining the evidence and interrogating those connected to the case.
