Four people, including three minors, were killed in Delhi's Dwarka on Friday after a tree fell on a tubewell room due to strong winds in the city, said the police. Among the deceased were 26 years old Jyoti and her three children who died after the tree fell on a tubewell room built on the farm in Kharkhari Canal village in Dwarka, said the police. Meanwhile, Jyoti's husband, Ajay sustained minor injuries in the incident, the police added.

The national capital and adjoining NCR cities experienced heavy rain and strong winds on Friday resulting in waterlogging in various parts. A metal structure also collapsed at Delhi Aiport's Terminal-3. 

The India Meteorological Department issued an alert for severe weather in the city on Friday. 

The weather department said that the incelemnt weather condition could result in uprooting of trees and minor and major damage to power and communication lines. 

It further said that heavy rain could damage kutcha houses/walls and huts while strong winds can partially damage vulnerable structures. 

The IMD also suggested residents to stay indoors, close windows and door and avoid travel if possible. It warned against taking shelter under trees and lying on or leaning against concrete floor and walls.
