A 3-month-old infant was found at the Pindwara Railway Station in Sirohi, Rajasthan on Tuesday (January 21). A letter was also found next to the baby. The superintendent of the railway station called the police and informed them that the child was found abandoned at the railway station.
Later, police officer Manoj Kumar Chauhan said that the team had succeeded in identifying the family members of the child.
Upon receiving this information, the head constable, Mansaram, immediately reached the spot where the baby was found, the next day, the head constable was searching for the family. The letter found next to the baby read: "My name is Radhika. We ran away from home and got married. It has been two years since our marriage. My husband died in a car accident. We lived in a rented house. I am suffering from an illness and cannot raise this child, so I request you to leave him in an orphanage. I come from a middle-class family. Due to my illness, I will also commit suicide in a few days."
The Railway Police Force (RPF) sent the infant for medical examination and admitted him to the Government Juvenile Home in Sirohi. The Government Railway Police (GRP) registered a case under Section 93 of the Indian Justice Code 2023 before they transferred the investigation to Mansaram.
The teams were given special instructions from the Station House Officer (SHO), to look for the relatives of the child. At this time, they also received inputs from their intelligence team and looked for any information on the family through social media.

The police made a breakthrough when they received a tip about a man asking about a baby, he was at Abu Road railway station, and he was brought to Abu Road police station where he was questioned. He was identified as Ishwarbhai and was a resident of Ahmedabad, Gujarat. When he was shown a photo of the baby, he said that the baby was his son named Rudra alias Kittu.
He further said that his wife, Sunita Ben, suffers from a mental illness which can often lead her to lose her memory. He said that his wife had left their child at Pindwara railway station. The wife and other relatives had come to the police station. The family also presented the papers on mental illness and treatment Sunita Ben is under, this was corroborated by the government hospital she visits.
When asked about the letter found next to the child, Ishwarbhai said that he didn’t know anybody by the name of Radhika, and kept dodging the question about the letter. Later, Ishwarbhai was taken for psychological evaluation, during which he broke down and revealed, that he was an auto-rickshaw driver, and made about Rs 17,000 per month, however, he had a lot of debts, paid for their rent house and also had to care for his wife. He said that his income was more than what he earned. Upset over the economic issues, the couple decided to die by suicide.
Ishwarbhai would watch a crime show and in one episode, had a letter similar to the one they later copied. They hoped that their child would be found and would be sent to an orphanage, and could inherit the Rs 20 lakh from the couple.
The couple were going to kill themselves in Palanpur, Gujarat. Ishwarbhai decided to end his life after visiting Amba Mataji. However, overcome with thoughts of his child during the night, Ishwar changed his mind.
