A BMW allegedly caught fire on the Jogeshwari bridge in Mumbai on Monday, leading to traffic disruptions on the busy road.


As per the initial reports, there have been no injuries in the incident. Officials said that they received a call at around 1:15 pm on Monday and the fire was doused at around 2 pm.






The cause of the FIR is yet to be known. However, in matter of few minutes, the flames engulfed the car. Shortly after the incident, videos surfaced on social media showing the car engulfed in flames with the traffic in the background.

In a separate incident of arson on Monday, a massive fire erupted at a restaurant in Delhi's Rajouri Garden. The restaurant in West Delhi caught fire, as plumes of smoke engulfed the area. To bring the situation under control, ten fire tenders arrived at the spot as firefighters used water jets to douse the fire.



Last week, a BMW had rammed into a divider after hitting another vehicle near the Delhi Gate area in the national capital on December 5. The police said that the high-speed two-seater BMW hit the divider after hitting a Tata Punch car, with the car's bumper and bonnet crushed by the impact. 


The car was reportedly dragged for nearly 100 meters from the point of collision with Tata Punch car. The driver is said to have sustained a minor injury, while a Class 6 boy was also injured in the accident after his head hit the dashboard. A case of rash and negligent driving is being registered at IP Estate Police Station.
