Tata Power Q4 Results: Net Profit Rises Nearly 25% To Rs 1,306 Crore

Tata Power (TPCL) posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 1,306.09 crore for the fourth quarter of FY25, reflecting a 24.9 per cent year-on-year increase, supported by strong contributions from its renewable energy and transmission and distribution businesses.

The company's revenue from operations for the March quarter grew 7.9 per cent to Rs 17,095.88 crore, up from Rs 15,846.58 crore in the same period last year. Total income rose to Rs 17,446.95 crore, marking a 5.97 per cent increase, while total expenses inched up by 3.1 per cent to Rs 16,179.77 crore.

For the full fiscal year, TPCL reported a record net profit of Rs 5,197 crore and an EBITDA of Rs 14,468 crore. The company also achieved its highest-ever annual revenue of Rs 64,502 crore, representing a 5 per cent year-on-year growth, while underlying EBITDA increased 10 per cent to Rs 15,261 crore.

The Board of Directors has recommended a dividend of Rs 2.25 per equity share, subject to shareholder approval at the upcoming Annual General Meeting.

Strong Segment-Wise Performance

Tata Power's Transmission and Distribution segment reported a 50 per cent jump in Q4 PAT to Rs 616 crore, while full-year PAT rose 37 per cent. Its Odisha discoms business delivered standout results, with Q4 PAT up 207 per cent to Rs 275 crore, and an annual PAT of Rs 439 crore, up 43 per cent year-on-year.

The renewables division saw Q4 PAT surge 62 per cent to Rs 469 crore, while annual PAT increased 48 per cent to Rs 1,256 crore. The company continued to lead in rooftop solar, recording Rs 100 crore PAT in Q4 and Rs 209 crore for the full year.

In the manufacturing space, TP Solar posted Rs 422 crore in FY25 profit on Rs 5,337 crore revenue, with an annual output of 3,291 MW of solar modules and 846 MW of solar cells.

Tata Power added 13.2 GW of power capacity in Q4 and 33.4 GW over FY25, with renewables accounting for 89 per cent of additions. Its total installed capacity stands at 475 GW, including 247 GW from thermal sources.
