Gold Silver Rate Today: Gold and silver prices remained volatile on Friday, with bullion swinging between gains and caution as global cues, currency movements and geopolitical developments shaped sentiment.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold futures for June delivery edged higher by Rs 159 to Rs 1,53,311 per 10 grams, even as intraday movement reflected choppy trends. Analysts said the yellow metal drew support from a weaker US dollar and easing geopolitical tensions.

“Gold traded with moderate gains on Friday supported by a weaker US dollar and easing geopolitical concerns,” said Hareesh V, Head of Commodity Research at Geojit Investments Ltd. He added that expectations of a possible settlement between the US and Iran have helped calm markets and could ease inflation pressures.

In international markets, Comex gold for June delivery was trading at $4,814.11 per ounce. Gaurav Garg of Lemonn Markets Desk said prices were supported by optimism around US-Iran talks.

However, broader trends indicate continued volatility. According to Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd (MOFSL), gold prices have risen nearly 10 per cent so far in 2026 but remain marked by sharp swings amid global uncertainty.

Navneet Damani of MOFSL said gold is navigating a complex environment influenced by geopolitical tensions, economic slowdown concerns and shifting interest rate expectations. While safe-haven demand remains intact, strength in the US dollar and elevated bond yields have intermittently capped gains.

Silver mirrored the volatility seen in gold, moving in tandem with global risk sentiment and currency fluctuations.

As India approaches Akshaya Tritiya, demand trends remain mixed. Elevated prices have kept jewellery demand subdued domestically, while investment demand, especially via ETFs, has gained traction. Globally, central bank buying and ETF flows continue to support the longer-term outlook.

Analysts maintain that while near-term movement may remain range-bound and volatile, gold and silver retain a constructive outlook, with a “buy on dips” approach favoured for medium- to long-term investors.
