24K & 22K Gold Price Today: Gold prices climbed on Monday, tracking renewed safe-haven demand amid heightened US-Iran tensions and a marginal softening in the US dollar.
Unprecedented Surge In Gold Prices: Gold prices jumped nearly 4 per cent in futures trade on Monday, climbing toward the RS.1.68 lakh per 10 grams mark. On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold for the April contract soared by RS. 5,811 to reach RS. 1,67,915, tracking a massive spike in international markets. Analysts at Motilal Oswal Financial Services noted that the rally accelerated in early morning trade as investors rushed to safe-haven assets following coordinated military strikes by the US and Israel on Iran, which resulted in the death of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Traders noted that Gold Rates in India climbed, with Gold prices in Delhi and other key metros reflecting the latest jump.
