Bank Holidays: Banks To Remain Closed For 4 Days This Week, Check State-Wise Complete Calendar HERE

The bank holiday calendar is published by the RBI every year. This calendar takes into account national holidays, state-based celebrations, special occasions, and weekend leaves.

As we transition to the second month of the new fiscal year this week, customers must be planning their banking errands and investment schedules. However, it might be of interest for readers to know that banks will remain closed for up to four days this week.

The bank holiday calendar is published by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) every year. This calendar takes into account national holidays, state-based celebrations, special occasions, and weekend leaves. Typically, banks remain closed on second, fourth Saturdays, and all Sundays.

However, sometimes changes are made by the banking regulator in this schedule at the last minute and therefore, it is advised to keep in touch with the local branch of your banks.

As per the RBI's calendar, banks in Himachal Pradesh will remain closed on April 29, Tuesday on account of Bhagvan Shri Parshuram Jayanti. On April 30, banks in Karnataka will not be available for the public as the state celebrates the festival of Basava Jayanti/Akshaya Tritiya.

Are Banks Open Or Closed On May 1?

May 1 marks the Labour Day and Maharashtra Din. Therefore, banks in mutliple regions across the country will remain closed on account of these occasions. However, during bank holidays, customers can easily access the digital banking services, ATMs, and mobile banking without any hindrance. Any disruption in these facilities is always informed to the customers well in advance.

To see all the holidays lined up for the week, let's take a look at the list below.
