Jamui is a State Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency which is a part of the Jamui (SC) Lok Sabha seat.
Rashtriya Janata Dal's Vijay Prakash won Jamui assembly seat in 2015 Bihar Assembly Elections by a margin of 8249 votes. Runner-up Ajoy Pratap of Bharatiya Janata Party bagged 58328 votes. Third position was held by Independent's Rabindra Kumar Mandal while Anil Kumar Singh of Independent held the fourth spot.
