Co-WIN Registrations: Beneficiaries Must Register On Portal, NOT App For COVID-19 Vaccine - Know How To Register

COVID-19 Vaccine On CoWin Portal: Citizens can now register and book an appointment for vaccination, anytime and anywhere, using the COWIN portal. Below are the steps given to be followed in order to register on the portal.

While several media reports have claimed a glitch on the Co-WIN App, the Health Ministry on Monday clarified that there is no glitch in CoWIN right from the start and that registration and booking for an appointment for COVID-19 vaccination has to be done through the portal only and not the CoWIN App as it is meant for use only by administrators.

RS Sharma, Head, Empowered Panel on Covid vaccinations in a statement said, "Some people had spread misinformation that there is CoWIN app. Later, we specified that there is no such app."

Taking to its Twitter handle earlier today, the health ministry said, "Registration and booking for an appointment for #COVID19 vaccination are to be done through #CoWIN Portal: www.cowin.gov.in. There is NO #CoWIN App for beneficiary registration. The App on Play Store is for administrators only."
