Bharatiya Janata Party's Ranvijay Singh won Bakhtiarpur assembly seat in 2015 Bihar Assembly Elections by a margin of 7902 votes. Runner-up Aniruddh Kumar of Rashtriya Janata Dal bagged 53594 votes. Third position was held by Bahujan Samaj Party's Akhilesh Kumar while Jitendra Yadav of Independent held the fourth spot.
